TOLI supported ex-office staff in leg treatment

Mr. Laksha Bahadur Thapa, the ex-office assistant of TOLI admitted in Hariyokharka hospital Pokhara Kaski in the support of TOLI on September 12, 2025 due to severe infection in his right leg. His right leg was injured due to bike accident about a year ago.

He was working in a restaurant near Prithvichowk Pokhara. After lab tests, the doctor’s team decided to cut his right leg below knee part immediately. In this regards, the hospital sought his family member, so that operation could be done as per protocol of the hospital. In this regard, we informed his elder brother, who was in Syangja district through his relative Mr. Shre Bahadur Thapa. Due to staying his family member remote and far distance they could come on September 13, 2025. During that time his elder brother Mr. Tek Bahadur Thapa and cousin Samir Thapa came at about 1.30 PM. After documentation processes, the operation started immediately at 2 PM on that day. Due to his poor economic condition, the hospital bore all the operations and foods costs of the patient. There was problem of bearing foods costs of taking care of him, because they didn’t have money. So, TOLI members managed hotel for foods & tiffin to his elder brother and cousin during his staying in the hospital. For food and tiffin for care taking persons, TOLI board meeting held in September 15, 2025 decided to request all the TOLI members for contributing to him personal basis, so that foods and tiffin costs to care taking persons could be possible.
