NGO federation Nepal policy, guideline and strategic consultation meeting in Pokhara

A policy, guideline and strategic consultation meeting was held in Hotel Fishtail Inn Pokhara on April 12, 2025. The meeting was organized by NGO federation Nepal Kaski district on the request of NGO federation central office. The meeting was chaired by NGO federation Nepal Kaski president Ms. Indira Paudel and chief guest of the meeting was Mr. Arjun Bhattarai the president of NGO federation Nepal and special guest was former President of NGO federation Mr. Ram Prasad Subedi. On that meeting Mr. Rajendra Prasad Paudel the central secretary highlighted on the objectives of the meeting, whereas Mr. Gopal Dwoj Khadka the NGO federation Gandaki province In-charge explained about frame work and aspects of the consultation meeting. On that occasion Mr. Padma Kiran Rana the chairperson of TOLI provided 3 suggestions i. Develop such a policy and strategy between Government of Nepal (GoN) and NGO federation, so that image of GoN against NGO should be positive, ii. Develop a strategy or an environment of mutual cooperation and collaboration between GoN & NGOs in policy formulation and development activities iii. Create an environment of consortium among the like minded NGOs, while preparing proposal rather than preparing solely. On that occasion, many chief and representatives from NGOs were provided suggestion about system of public hearing, climate change, good governance, social auditing, including like minded NGOs in GoN program planning. Similarly many suggestions were provided related with women, disable, third gender, minorities and marginalized population. About 35 participants from different NGOs were participated. Ms. Indira Paudel the NGO federation president concluded the meeting. The consultation meeting was anchored by NGO federation Kaski Chapter Secretary Ms. Junu Bhujel.
